I woke up thinking today how I have one here, one there. One toothbrush here in East Oakland, one in Mexico. One towel hangs here. I only need one of an object here. And yet, when I talk with R on the phone, I want to pull him through the wires. So that his toothbrush can sit next to mine. So that his towel can hang on my same hook.
On a day like today, I am hyper-aware of the fact that I am here, and R is there.
